There's an old saying:
Actions speak louder than words. Or:

Your actions are speaking so loudly that I cannot hear what you say. Or:

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of your actions. Or:

....well, the list goes on. But it comes down to the idea that the only real way to see what a person will do is to, in fact, see what they do. So go out and vote; we've been talking about it for a long while, and now it is time to do.

My motto:

Do what you Say, Say what you Mean, Mean what you Do.

I just got back from voting, and there's been a larger-than-expected turnout so far. Let's keep it up!

Blessed be,

Look before you leap, think before you speak and read before you sign... especially when voting.

I went out and did my duty and was heartened by Libertarian candidates making the other two parties work for it. Mind, on my ballot where I live, there were only three third party candidates, but that's an upswing from none the last election year. If I knew it wouldn't have seriously split the vote, I would have voted for that third party for President. As it was, I didn't.

I just wish that there were enough voters for all parties that one can vote by the dictates of one's conscience and convictions, without having to consider the psychology of numbers which politics has become.

I spent two hours in line behind a 3-year-old named Isaac before voting. It was actually fun. There was a positive feeling in the air, unlike the last time around. And the results are historic. I'm glad, and surprised, that it happened in my lifetime. I'm sorry it took a shitty war and a shittier economy to make it happen, but glad folks were able to recognize talent in spite of deep-seated but practically irrelevant biases. Enough babbling; I stop now.
