Very amusing. We had a VCR that got possessed by The Craft. We were watching it and needed to pause for dinner. Hit pause on the remote... nothing. Hit stop on the remote... nothing. OK, remote is dead, even though it worked just fine to start the movie. Hit pause on the VCR... nothing. Hit stop on the VCR... nothing. We're getting a bit weirded out. Hit power on the VCR... nothing. At this point I turn to everyone and say "If I unplug it and it still doesn't stop, get out of the house." Unplug VCR... success. We were able to plug it back in and eject the tape, but we never did finish that movie. We have a new VCR now.
